RICHMOND, VA (JUNE 29, 2009) – Transact Capital Partners announced that Josh Allen,
Senior Analyst, has joined the firm.

Josh brings over 2 years of investment banking experience in corporate debt research, and
mergers and acquisitions. He specializes in research, business valuations, due diligence support,
buyer research and client deliverable development.

Josh started his career at Virginia Tech where he was a founder and co-CEO of BASIS,
a $5 million fixed income portfolio. Following graduation, Josh worked for an international
consulting and M&A firm as a Senior Analyst focusing on financial services consulting and
M&A advisory. While with the firm, he was an integral player on the M&A team and worked to
assist deals ranging from $5 million to $100 million.

Josh has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Cum Laude, from Virginia Tech.
